Cast Bios

Tracy Tupman (Scrooge) has been active in theatre as an actor (in Hamlet as Horatio, Arsenic and Old Lace as Jonathan Brewster, Heartbreak House as Capt Shotover and, most recently in The Importance of Being Ernest as Dr. Chasuble), director (Deathtrap, Much Ado About Nothing, Carousel, A Thurber Carnival), and playwright (produced by several university and community theatres) since the earth first began to cool.

Scott Douglas Wilson (Bob Cratchet) is thrilled to return to The Columbus Civic Theater where he most recently appeared in The Zoo Story. Recent regional credits include Frankenstein (Actors Theater of Columbus), August: Osage County (SRO Theatre Company); And Then They Fell (MadLab); Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery (CATCO is Theatre); Dracula (SRO Theatre Co.); The NSA’s Guide to Sex & Love (MadLab); The Shadow Box (Adrenaline Theatre Group). He wishes to thank this cast and production team.

Abby Dorn (Belle) is happy to be a part of this year's production of A Christmas Carol! This is her eighth production at the Civic. She played Vivie in Mrs. Warren’s Profession, Prudence in Beyond Therapy and Elsa in The Road to Mecca, as well as various roles in A Christmas Carol. Abby has a B.A. in theatre from Drew University and is a yoga teacher and musician. She is grateful for the adventure of working with her mother, as well as the rest of this wonderful group, and to her family for supporting her all along the way.

Todd Taylor (Marley) is a regular at the Civic. This past season he was seen in Beyond Therapy, Orphans, Macbeth and A Christmas Carol. Other favorite plays include The Late Christopher Bean, Candida, You Never Can Tell, Ghosts, and The Weir - a short list of many memorable and “memorized” years at The Columbus Civic Theater.

Maceo Bermudez (Tiny Tim, Newsboy, Christmas Future) has just turned nine years old and is in third grade. This is Maceo’s first year as Christmas Future and his third (and last) year as Tiny Tim.

Max Muir (Feziwig) is coming full circle with this show, having found his love of acting in a fourth grade production of A Christmas Carol. Lately, he has been seen as Clem in The Wave That Set the Fire at MadLab and Wargrave in And Then There Were None with Cyclodrama. Merry Christmas, all!

Harper Green (Belle) is a native to Columbus, Ohio. She began her theatrical career at just two years of age with the Vaudvillities holiday show, continuing for the next five years. She loves acting, singing, and dancing on stage because it’s fun to pretend! She is thankful for the opportunity to return to the Columbus Civic Theater in this her second season. She sends her love to her mom & dad, her sister & extended family, the cast & crew of A Christmas Carol, and thanks the audience for their support of local theater. Also, she loves pandas, soccer, and her dogs!

Luka Bastin Howes (Businessman, Fred, Young Eb) is delighted to be in Christmas Carol this year. He has played Mr. Parris in The Crucible and several roles in Check Please at Columbus Alternative High School where he sings with the CAHS Chorale.

Katie Haught (Belle, Petra, Charity Lady) is excited to be returning to the Columbus Civic Theater after appearing in A...My Name is Alice last summer. Past roles include Smee in Peter and the Starcatcher and Amanda Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie at Capital University, where she recently graduated with a BA in Theatre Studies. She’d like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her and pushing her to be her best.

Renée Collins (Charity Lady, The Ghost of Christmas Past, Fred’s Wife, Mrs. Wilkins) has a background in Improvisation, Stage Managing, and has had the privilege of training with CATCO Broadway2LA Acting Studio in Columbus, Ohio. She has a passion for acting and is excited to work within the Columbus, Ohio theatre community. Renée is grateful for this opportunity to work with Director and Designer Kerry Shanklin, the crew at The Columbus Civic Theater, and this amazingly talented cast!

Megan Mateer (Mrs. Dilber, Mrs. Fezziwig) has been involved with theatre for most of her life. She has worked in every aspect of theatre on the amateur and professional levels. Megan also believes that education is very important, and to that end, she has achieved her PhD in theatre. After almost a decade, she has had a wonderful couple of years getting back into theatre working with Weathervane, MadLab, Worthington Players, Columbus Civic Theater, and others. She has had the honor of directing for the Columbus Civic, and for the second time performing on this stage.

Lydia Mercerhill (Martha Crachit, Caroler) is in the 6th grade at Dominion Middle School and is delighted to be in her first Columbus Civic Theater production. Previously, she has been seen in Columbus Children’s Theatre’s Cinderella (Fairy Godmother), Dominion Middle School’s Clue (Auxiliary Scarlet), and Ecole Kenwood French Immersion’s The Lion King Kids (Simba) and Seussical Kids (Cat #1). Lydia would like to thank her coaches, Kaitlin Descutner and Abby Zeszotek, and her family for all of their support.
